President Kagame in Abuja for the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Forum 2019
29.07.201927th July 2019,
His Excellency, President Paul Kagame is in Abuja, Nigeria for the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Forum 2019, which brings together over 5,000 entrepreneurs from across Africa.
President Kagame joined Vice President Yemi Osinbajo of Nigeria, President Macky Sall of Senegal, President Felix Tshisekedi of DRC, and Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda of Uganda for a Presidential panel discussion.
President Kagame speaking on Rwanda’s transformation journey said:
"We have managed to change the mindsets of our people, to know what they stand for, what they need to do, what they have in themselves, and we have united our country. Our country was torn apart by divisive politics; we have now brought the country together and also set the country on the path to development which we are achieving.
This is because of the people, because of the institutions, because of the policies we have tried to put in place. We are educating our people, we are investing in their health. Rwandans, working together, with knowledge, with skills, with aspirations they have for themselves, I think that is the main legacy."
